Short-term Individual Missionaries ARE AMAZING!

From Marcia and Kathie in our Finance Department

This week, our work has focused on short-term individuals. As you can imagine, a lot of people take short-term trips in the summer. So, we're processing gifts for their trips and making sure that the city bases they are going to have the funds necessary to pay for their housing, transportation, food, etc.

For many of our STIs (short-term individuals) this is their first trip alone. They've gone on mission team trips with youth groups and the like, but many are taking this step for the first time. That, of course, requires extra education on how things work. We LOVE working with the individuals in this way. We get to know them better and enjoy hearing their God stories. We rejoice when they get to the field and get started on their adventures!

We also have some STIs going on multiple trips with us from year-to-year. These are extra-special relationships because we get to see them grow in their relationship with God and hear of the great things they're doing to support our missionaries around the world.

Whether first-timers or third-timers, we pray for them and try to make it as simple as possible to get their finances in and where they need to be. They are blessings to us AND, to our CFCI missionaries on the field, AND, most importantly, to the Kingdom of God!
